Private Client Solicitor | Cambridge | 1years PQE+ BCL Legal have been instructed by their client, a recognised L500 regional law firm as they have a vacancy for their Private Client Department in Cambridge. The Firm A prominent UK law firm with a strong presence in the Top 200, the firm offers expert legal services and independent financial advice to a wide range of clients, from individuals and businesses to charities, schools, and national corporations. About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and motivated Solicitor to join the Private Client team. The firm seeks a dynamic individual with a passion for providing expert legal guidance to a diverse range of clients. The successful candidate will work with clients on matters including Wills, Trusts, Tax, and Probate, taking the next step in their career with a supportive and collaborative team. Key Responsibilities: Drafting Wills and advising on their implementation. Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, along with advising on client-related issues such as Deputyships and other Court of Protection applications, with particular attention to the needs of elderly clients. Providing advice on Inheritance Tax Planning, including exemptions and reliefs. Offering proactive, client-focused advice to ensure long-term solutions tailored to individual client needs. Skills and Experience Required: While the following are desirable, the firm encourages applications even if the full list of requirements is not met- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with at least 1 year+ PQE in Private Client law. A strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service, including being responsive, accessible, and maintaining a positive, client-centric attitude. Demonstrable commercial awareness and strong acumen in Private Client matters.
